The Skate Park in Jávea

The Cala Sardinera (Sardine Cove) in Javea
This photo of the week shows the Cala Sardinera (Sardine Cove) in Javea, in the province of Alicante. It is a cove located on the north side of Cabo San Martin, or Cabo Blanco, a natural cove and practically virgin waters, has a length of 500 meters and a width of 5 meters.
In order to get to the Cala Sardinera you need to gain access by foot from the Mirador de la Cruz del Portitxol on the road to Cabo de la Nao, along a path that passes through a beautiful pine forest with wonderful views.
Hotel Costamar Javea
If you are looking for hotels in Javea, then we have a suggestion for you the, Costamar Hotel in Jávea Port. For many years this now hotel, was a family run hostel, but in 2007 they completely renovated it and it is now a two star hotel and holds a privileged location in the town of Jávea.
It has 14 rooms all with excellent views over the bay of Jávea and is equipped with all the necessary amenities i.e. air conditioning, television, free wifi for clients, cribs, extra beds for families, a café, bar and lounge, etc. ..) There are single or double rooms and adapted rooms to people with limited mobility.
Moors and Christians in Denia
From the 10th to the 16th of August Denia will be celebrating the Moors and Christians Festival (Fiestas de Moros y Cristianos), in honour of San Roque. This year the Moors are captained by the Filá Amazigh and the Christians by the Filá Mozárabes.
Highlights of this year´s festivities:
- Wednesday 11th of August: at 11.00 visit to the Residencia Santa Lucia.
The Beaches of Javea
The beach known as, “La Grava” in Jávea ( Alicante) is situated at Aduanas del Mar near to the port. It is a gravel beach that is easily accesses on foot and as various facilities such as life guard surveillance, portable toilets, tourism office, parking area, public telephone, promenade, bus, taxi, bar, restaurant, etc., It is a nice beach as it is not too overcrowded and is 290 long. For many years now it holds the Blue Flag.
