The Race Village of the Volvo Ocean Race 2011-2012 will open at the port of Alicante on 14 October, the same day that will begin three busy weeks of activities in Alicante in the framework of the regattas and races of the Stage 1 of the Volvo Ocean Race 2011-2012 that will connect Alicante to the South African port of Cape Town in a route of 6,500 nautical miles (12,038 kilometers) on 5 November 2011.
There are 40 different activities scheduled to fully open access,among we can highlights the museum of the Volvo Ocean Race, which will have one permanent exhibition and a temporary one, where you can observe the work in the control room of the race where the fleet is monitored 24 hours a day until the arrival to Galway (Ireland) next July 2012.
The Oktoberfest is the most popular festival in Germany ,particularly in the city of Munich (Bavaria). The “Beer Festival” arrives for the third straight year at Valencia, and this time will be held in one of the most typical Spanish bullring, making a definitely an interesting union of Spanish and German culture.
The Oktoberfest in Valencia will be held in the bullring until Saturday 17 September, from las12: 30 h to 01:30 h nonstop. To celebrate this great event, a 2000 m² tent has been installed in the bullring. There, all assistants will enjoy the best Bavarian beer, sample the typical south German cuisine as cabbage salads, sausages, pretzels and Bockwurst. This celebration will be accompanied by concerts, performances, live dj’s music, beer-drinking contests, raffles and gifts.
This year, the Feria de Julio 2011 arrives in Valencia and with it, the bullfighting events.
The most popular matadors in the national and international bullfighting scene will show their bullfighting abilities on the Valencia bullring.
The tickets and multiple-day tickets are already on sale and word has it there will be more ticket sales than on Fallas 2011.
From Saturday 16th to Sunday 24th July, a comprehensive schedule of bull-related events will take place, for the enjoyment of people who like bulls.
The Campus Party Valencia started as a small LAN Party in Andalusia. It has been more than twenty years since this party happened and its popularity increased to the extent of becoming a massive event for the first time back in 2000 in Valencia.
We are in 2011 now, and we have been witnesses of the growth of this party, from a “geeks only gathering” to a much awaited massive event not only in Valencia, but also in other big cities in other continents worldwide.
