The facilities of the Jávea harbour will host next Saturday, 30th July at 22:30 h, the XVI living chess of Jávea. Since 1996, this event has been organized by the Mare de Deu de Loreto Fiestas Commission, always with the collaboration of the Local chess club and Caja de Ahorros del Mediterráneo (CAM Bank).
The “living chess” is actually a theatre play representing a chess match. For this edition, the play will be an adaptation of the most famous Spanish book in history: Miguel de Cervantes Saavedra’s The Ingenious Gentleman Don Quixote of La Mancha.

Fallas is not a fiesta exclusive of the city of Valencia. If you want to check it by yourself, just keep an eye on the cultural offers that the city of Calpe brings this March 2011.
Calpe’s Fallas will have the glamorous representation of fallera Beatriz Femenía and junior fallera Adriana Pino, who were proclaimed in a ceremony last January.
Since 1983, Calpe celebrates its own Fallas festivity.
