Carrio hostel and restaurant in Javea

In 1970, Mr. Juan Carrio opened the Carrio hostel in the historic Javea downtown. Now, this business is operated by the next Carrio generation.

The hostel became popular not only because of the competitive prices of the rooms, but also because of the delicious Valencia typical food cooked by Ana and Naci, wife and sister of Mr. Carrio.

Being on a budget here does not mean having to eat cheap food. For just €8.50 you can get a lunch menu with three entrees and three main dishes to choose from.

If you plan to dinner on the menu basis, prices range between €10 and €13.50. You can also choose a la carte and taste fantastic Valencia rice, or a paella. They have a wide range of choices and prices remain more than reasonable.

Rooms are double and include all the basic services: Air conditioning and heating, TV set and bathroom. The prices of the rooms per night start at €25 for a special rate single-use room plus breakfast. The most expensive it could get is €54 for a double room with breakfast on high season. For a couple, in summer, that price is a steal. The hostel has 6 bedrooms.

Hostal Balcón Al Mar, Jávea

This month we would like to tell you about the one star Hostal Balcon al Mar in Javea. It is located in a quiet area close to the Cala Granadella Cabo La Nao, La Isla Descubridor and approx. 10 minutes by car to the  Playa Arenal Beach.

The Hostal Balcón al Mar has 12 double rooms all equipped with air conditioning, bathroom en suite, ( of which 7 are equipped with bath and private balcony) and 19-inch LCD television. A buffet breakfast is included in the price and  prices range from between 40 and 75 Euros per day depending on the season. Some of the rooms have been adapted for disabled persons.

If you are looking for hotels in Javea, then we have a suggestion for you the, Costamar Hotel in Jávea Port. For many years this now hotel, was a family run hostel, but in 2007 they completely renovated it  and  it is now a  two star hotel and holds a privileged location in the town of Jávea.

It has 14 rooms all with excellent views over the bay of Jávea and is equipped with all the necessary  amenities i.e. air conditioning, television, free wifi  for clients, cribs,  extra beds  for families, a café, bar and lounge, etc. ..) A great option for a cheap holiday in Moraira is the Albergue Moraira ( Hostel), 13 km from Jávea. It is located on the Camino del Campamento nº 31, 30724-Moraira, only 200 m from the sandy beach and from the L´Ampolla Castle Tower and 500m from the town centre.

Has a total capacity for 130 people and features workshops with room for up to 60 people, cafeteria vending machines, heating, sports court, pool,  rented sheets, audiovisual equipment and is payable by card. You can make reservations on line, though you must have the YHA membership card.
