One of the festivals in the Valencian Community, with the most impact, nationally and internationally, along with els “Bous a la Mar” is the Tomatina de Buñol, held on Wednesday August 25 at 11:00.
The Tomatina of Buñol Valencian is a very curious event with thousands of participants from all countries that come together to throw tomatoes at each other, in a fun battle, (100 tonnes of tomatoes are used.)
Another great beach to visit in Jávea, especialy for those not keen on sand, is the Segon Muntanyar Beach (or the Benissero as it is otherwise known as). This a rocky beach composed of fossilized sand stone is about 1,700 metres long and can be found to the South of the Playa del Arenal beach.

If you are looking for hotels in Javea, then we have a suggestion for you the, Costamar Hotel in Jávea Port. For many years this now hotel, was a family run hostel, but in 2007 they completely renovated it and it is now a two star hotel and holds a privileged location in the town of Jávea.

The beach known as, “La Grava” in Jávea ( Alicante) is situated at Aduanas del Mar near to the port. It is a gravel beach that is easily accesses on foot and as various facilities such as life guard surveillance, portable toilets, tourism office, parking area, public telephone, promenade, bus, taxi, bar, restaurant, etc., It is a nice beach as it is not too overcrowded and is 290 long.
