Jávea's Arenal Promenade

The Jávea City Council, through the Consell of city planning, will start the renovation works of the Arenal promenade after 20 years of unrealized projects. The project includes the paving, construction of a new wall and the replacement or refurbishment of the streetlights located in the path of the Paseo del Arenal.

There is not a date set by the authorities yet, but Antonio Torres, counselor of city planning, stated that besides the paved with ceramic cement, the access to the beach will also be renewed and a wooden ramp installed , which will be separated from the parking lot with a gardened area.

The Mayor of Javea, Eduardo Monfort, said that residents and businesses of Arenal have been active participants in various phases of project development as the aesthetic style, the selection of the project and suggestions for the needs of the area.

It is calculated that the rehabilitation project will have a cost of EUR 1.8 million, which will come from a grant fund by the Region of Valencia government.
