About two months ago we wrote about the project that will connect the main interest points of Javea by a bike lane.
At this time, all the bike path building works along the Canal de la Fontana towards Via Augusta have been completed. Javea’s Infrastructure council took this opportunity to repair the damaged pavements by the bike path.
The project has not yet stopped and, on December 15, a series of meetings have been arranged between the Association of the Raval de la Mar and the Department of Civic Engagement in the framework of Agenda 21, to discuss and optimize the project in order to be of utmost benefit to all parts affected by it.
In these conversations, proposals will be analyzed and potential routes workarounds will be studied. Conclusions may result in redirecting traffic, increasing or reducing parking spaces in the town centre and, in some specific cases, developing new bicycle parking lots.
