Rhythmic gymnastics is a discipline traditionally dominated by Eastern European countries. However, Spain has been moving to better positions in international ranks.
This has happened, partly, thanks to initiatives like Club Gimnástica Xàbia Rítmica, a rhythmic gymnastics club welcoming and training young talents under the premise of high quality standards in a friendly and nice environment.
The club was founded in 2006. It is open to any kid or youngster 5 or older wanting to start a career on rhythmic gymnastics.
The current coach and trainer of the Club Gimnástica Xàbia Rítmica is Vicky Bolufer a talented ballerina that has worked for the rhythmic gymnastics club of Denia and that has led many young athletes to national competitions.
This club has already brought some medals to Javea from national and regional competitions, and organizes regional events.
Nowadays, Xàbia Rítmica practices and trains in the Poliesportiu Xàbia. For signups and additional information, please visit their website (in Spanish).
They also have a page on Facebook, with the latest on their events and short-term plans.
