Beach

The capes of Sant Antoni and la Nao are some of the most privileged formations Costa Blanca North. They are the perfect viewpoint to enjoy a beautiful landscape or a nice backdrop to a relaxing sail by the coast.

If you ever go to the beaches of Javea and find that their waters aren’t still enough to relax and soak, you might as well want to surf them.

Javea has been gaining a reputation as a surfing spot. Now it seems to be on the eye of surf event organizers, who have considered it to hold surf championships that traditionally took place on the Cantabria Sea.

In this article we would like to describe to you a particularly beautiful diving site off the beach of   the Granadella Cove in Jávea. It is a route accessible  for all diving levels.

This diving route starts at the left side of the cove and can only be  accessed  by swimming and gradually gaining depth. At about  3 metres deep  there is a small rock arch through which you can  pass an d where you will find  abundant poseidonia and large rocks which are home to  octopus and eels.
The entire route does not exceed the 10m mark. By going east-southeast for about 30 minutes you  can see how seabed changes to a sandy substrate.

The Cala Sardinera (Sardine Cove) in Javea, in the province of Alicante

This photo of the week shows  the Cala Sardinera (Sardine Cove) in Javea,  in the province of Alicante. It is a cove located on the north side of Cabo San Martin, or Cabo Blanco, a natural cove and practically virgin waters, has a length of 500 meters and a width of 5 meters.

In order to get to the Cala Sardinera you need to gain access  by foot from the Mirador de la Cruz del Portitxol on the road to Cabo de la Nao, along a path that passes through a beautiful pine forest with wonderful views.

Segon Muntanyar Beach Javea

Another great beach to visit in Jávea, especialy for those not keen on sand, is the Segon Muntanyar Beach (or the Benissero as it is otherwise known as). This  a rocky beach composed of fossilized sand stone is about 1,700 metres long and can be found to the South of the Playa del Arenal  beach.

The beach has lighting, public telephone, is very close to the bus stop, has life guard surveillance and is near to various restaurants. Continue reading
