Culture and entertainment take over Jávea’s Public Library (9 Mayor Street, phone number: +34 965 793 938) with alternatives for children and adults in the areas of literature, opinion and Valencian language.
This month’s activities include:
Puppet storytelling for elementary school students, with the collaboration of Jávea’s Education Office.

The Mostra de Valencia brings to the city a great selection of action, adventure and good taste violence films, exhibitions and special events for film lovers.
This festival gathers an exclusive independent sampler of these genres from all corners of the world. The not-to-be-missed Hollywood signature also makes an appearance, but to a smaller amount.
From October 15th to October 23th we will be able to enjoy the screening of the 15 films included in the official action and adventure selection. Other activities include shows, presentations, conferences and lectures in 5 different venues throughout the city of Valencia.
For another year, Calpe celebrates the Oktoberfest Calpe 2010 Beer Festival, from October 7th to 17th. This is one of the most popular events in the Costa Blanca region, gathering people from all corners of Europe and the province. The festival is organized by the Carnaval Club Calpe Association and the Calpe Town Hall.
The Oktoberfest Calpe 2010 schedule introduces new events, such as the Happy Hour, with reduced prices on beer, sausages, ham hock and other exquisite meals. Another novelty is the Tourist Day, with a paella contests, and a day dedicated to Jazz.
The merchants association at the Historical Market in Jávea ( Xàbia) will be operating during the months of September and August a free electric minibus service in order to provide residents, visitors and tourists the opportunity to visit the historical area of the town of Jávea.
The minibus will only seat 11 people, but this size bus was chosen to make it easier to access the narrow streets of the Historical Centre. It’s going to be available to customers free of charge if they are carrying heavy bags or simply to enable customers to discover the beauty of the town´s streets and shopping centre.
