Moors and Christians in Denia
From the 10th to the 16th of August Denia will be celebrating the Moors and Christians Festival (Fiestas de Moros y Cristianos), in honour of San Roque. This year the Moors are captained by the Filá Amazigh and the Christians by the Filá Mozárabes.
Highlights of this year´s festivities:
- Wednesday 11th of August: at 11.00 visit to the Residencia Santa Lucia.
Fiestas in Denia, Bulls in the Sea
Fiestas in Denia from the 3rd to the 11th of July 2010, festivals and “Bous a la Mar” ( Bulls in the Sea); a tradition declared of National Tourist Interest. This is a show that is held in the mobile bullring year after year in the port; every day you can join in or simply watch in the morning or in the afternoon. The Bous a la Mar is one of the most anticipated events for all visitors and residents of Denia.

The Town of Denia Celebrate the Fallas
In the town of Denia (Alicante) Fallas are a tradition, from the 16th to the 19th of March a total of 11 committees plus the Local Fallera Board will fill the town with monuments.
One of the most spectacular parts of the Fallas in Denia are the firework displays and the mascletaes , although one of the most popular events is the offering to the Virgen de los Desamparados, many visitors who come are fascinated by the typical costumes.
