Portamus Gaudium sacred music children's choir
Jávea has prepared some activities for you on October 19th.
“Portamus Gaudium” Children’s Polish Choir: This choir of girls aged 5 to 16 “brings happiness” everywhere they bring their show, as their name in latin says. Anyone who likes sacred music should go and enjoy their repertoir. Directed by its founder, Agnieszka Brzezinska.
Location: Casa de la Cultura de Jávea, 6 Baix square.

“Chemistry in the Kitchen” workshop: Are you a cooking enthusiast? Are you confident with your level of Spanish or want to gain some practice on this area? Then we recommend you this activity to take pleace at 11:00 h in the Town’s Archaeological Museum “Soler Blasco” (1 Primicias street).
Beer takes centre stage in Calpe, from October 7th to 17th
For another year, Calpe celebrates the Oktoberfest Calpe 2010 Beer Festival, from October 7th to 17th. This is one of the most popular events in the Costa Blanca region, gathering people from all corners of Europe and the province. The festival is organized by the Carnaval Club Calpe Association and the Calpe Town Hall.
The Oktoberfest Calpe 2010 schedule introduces new events, such as the Happy Hour, with reduced prices on beer, sausages, ham hock and other exquisite meals. Another novelty is the Tourist Day, with a paella contests, and a day dedicated to Jazz.

Once again Alicante is holding the Lucentum Festival and although the theatrical part of the programme is over there are still many things to look forward to , such as concerts, dance and zarzuela ( which is free entry). The performances are being held at the Yacimiento del Tossal de Manises at 22.30.

International Festival of Jávea
International Festival of Jávea: 17,18,19/06
This year Jávea-Xàbia holds the International Festival on 17th, 18th and 19th of June, 2010 on the Avenida Augusta , from 18:00, admission is free.
It is a consolidated event in Jávea which this year celebrates it´s 25th anniversary thanks to the participation of the following countries: Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Cuba, Ecuador, Indonesia, England, Italy, Morocco, Palmera, Peru, Poland, Switzerland, Uruguay. And the following associations: Jávea Casa de Andalucía, the animal protection society APASA, the Rotary Club Jávea, Thiviers and the Red Cross Association.
Storytelling afternoons.
On the 22 of April 2010 Jávea celebrates World Book Day with a second hand book fair at the Plaza del Convento ( where the weekly market is held).
Nearly all year round the children of Jávea are fortunate in having Storytelling afternoons. On Friday the 23rd of April, World Book Day, the little ones will be treated to Storytelling at 18.00 at the Public Library.
