Montgo Park views

Next Sunday 29 January you all are invited to participate in a hiking activity aimed to expand our knowledge of ancestral Spanish culture through the Iberian settlements trail of Jávea‘s Montgo Natural Park.

This path is full of remains and historical places where the Iberians settled from the eighth century BC and started a civilization based in the trade with the Greek and Phoenician. In  this path we can appreciate an important Iberian town by Benimaquia highs, where were found Phoenician amphorae related to the processing and trade of wine.

The new cycling guide has received high acceptance by tourists and residents of Jávea and today we want to share this information with you all.

This new guide includes 10 different tours throughout the Javea city limits, new routes with different difficulty level that run through beautiful places like Tossa, Gros, Tarraula, La Granadella Capsades Rebaldí and Les Planes aand several other thematic routes that invite us to know the history and beauty of Jávea parks and viewpoints, many of them easily reachable for the whole family.

Trekking routes in Montgo

A free hiking activity is planned for the next Sunday 4 December 2011 in Jávea’s Molins trail of the PR-CV 355 route from Montgo to Jávea Port. The trail will follow the following route: Jávea Port- San Antonio Cape- area Recreational – Sanctuary – Windmills area and return to the Port of Jávea. The alternative route of the PR-CV 355 is the Tango Cove trail.

It takes about 3 hours to complete this low difficulty route and those interested in participating have to be on Sunday 4 December at 09:00 h in the parking lot of the Port fish marketplace. All people attending have to carry enough water, food, proper footwear and also would be a good idea to bring a camera to take nice pictures of the path. It is not necessary to register in advance; just make sure to be on time in the meeting point.

Bike lane in Jávea

Next Sunday 6 November will be held the 9th  Javea Bike Day, a fun sport event for both children and adults to enjoy a nice outdoors morning.

Those interested in participating should be at the sports track of the Graüll Public School (Pda. Freginal) at 10:00 h, from which all participants will depart with destination Pinosol Park.

This recreational family activity is organized by the Cycling Club of Javea with the collaboration of the Sports Council of the Town of Jávea.

Volvo Ocean Race 2011-2012

The Race Village of the Volvo Ocean Race 2011-2012 will open at the port of Alicante on 14 October, the same day that will begin three busy weeks of activities in Alicante in the framework of the regattas and races of the Stage 1 of the Volvo Ocean Race 2011-2012 that will connect Alicante to the South African port of Cape Town in a route of 6,500 nautical miles (12,038 kilometers) on 5 November 2011.

There are 40 different activities scheduled to fully open access,among  we can highlights the museum of the Volvo Ocean Race, which will have one permanent exhibition and a temporary one, where you can  observe the work in the control room of the race where the fleet is monitored 24 hours a day until the arrival to Galway (Ireland) next July 2012.
