On the weekend of 24 and 25 December 2011, Jávea holds the I “Joventut Xàbia” Tournament organized by the Club de Baloncesto de Jávea —Jávea Basketball Club. This tournament is for girls and boys 10 to 12 (infantil) and 13 to 14 (cadete).
The “Joventut Xàbia” (Jávea Youth) basketball club and the Town Council will organize together the first tournament for girls and boys 10 to 14, on the weekend of 24 and 25 September.
This season of the year is perfect for beach sports on the Spanish Costa Blanca coast, and the Jávea Sports Council as well as various sports associations in Jávea know this well.
Besides the more informal outdoors sports activities available in the city such as the hiking tours, this summer brings the XV Jávea Beach Volleyball Open.
This 15th edition of the volleyball open will be held on Arenal beach.
AFIS Marina -a sports oriented organization dedicated to educational activities- offers a summer camp plan especially thought for children and young people in ages between 5 and 15 living in Jávea and its surrounding towns.
These activities include sports (both team and individual), diverse entertainment activities and social interaction guided by an experienced professional faculty with over 10 years in the sector.
The XXII Volta a Peu a Xàbia —Jávea walking tour— will take place on Sunday 13th March 2011. This is the first race that adds for the classification into the XV Circuit a Peu Marina Alta —XV Marina Alta Walking Circuit.
The event starts at 08:00 h. The starting point is the “Miguel Buigues Andrés” Sports Pavillion at Furs Avenue.
The race starts at 10:00 h for adults and at 12:00 h for kids.
