The resident affairs department of the City of Jávea has opened an office for assistance and information to foreigners.
Initially, the office will be based in the municipal building of Casa de Tena, located on Mayor Street but you can take a shortcut through Pastores Street, numbers 2 (the door of rough stone and wrought iron). The opening hours are from 9.30 to 13.30, but users can contact them at any time by email to help@ajxabia.org.

From today, there is a new parking area in Jávea, with 300 free parking spots in El Arenal.
The Town Hall of Xàbia conditioned a new public and free parking area in El Arenal, while working to rearrange the traffic flow on Libertad Avenue. The area is on a plot next to Paris Avenue, three short minutes’ walk from the beach.
Until 25 September you can visit the exhibition Jávea Ramon Llull and see the Encounter between Cultures. This is an exhibition organized by the IEMed (European Institute of the Mediterranean) and the Jávea Neighbourhood Forum, in collaboration with the Town Hall of Jávea and the Generalitat Valenciana. The exhibition will take place at the Casa Primicias, on the Calle Primicias number 2 , Jávea.
The exhibition opening hours are from Tuesday through to Friday from 10:00 to 13:30 and 18:30 to 22:00 and on Saturdays from 10:00 to 13:30. Mondays/ Sundays and public holidays closed.
The views from the summit of the Montgó towards the bay of Jávea are impressive, they are stunning views of the entire Marina Alta.
The Montgo was declared a Natural Park in 1987 and there are several marked trails follow across this natural landscape.
The photo shows a view of Jávea, an incredible panoramic view that one must see in person, but in order to do so one has to take the path that leads to the top. The Town Hall of Jávea organizes free guided tours to the top of Montgó.
Make sure you don´t forget the camera as you will definitely want to take home a souvenir of these magnificent views that stretch all the way to the island of Ibiza, and across to Cabo de San Antonio and to Cap Prim.
For the 14th of February 2010, the Town Hall of Jávea are organizing a hiking tour of the PR CV 354 of Jávea ( Alicante). The route will cover the Cala Granadella-Castell-Variante Gurugú.
It will take approximately 3 hours and is thought to be of medium difficulty.
There is no need to have previously enrolled, just be at the Granadella beach parking lot on the 14th of February 2010 at 09.00h, which is the set off point.
